New GHS Module Added to Online WHMIS Training Courses
We’re excited to announce that we’ve just added a new “GHS Primer” module to both our 90 Minute WHMIS and 90 Minute WHMIS – Health Care Edition courses.
Even though GHS has not yet been integrated into Canada’s legislative requirements, workers throughout the country are encountering new types of labels, new symbols (now referred to as pictograms) and the updated technical documents now referred to as Safety Data Sheets (formerly MSDS). Â It’s because of this that we believe it’s important that workers start getting familiar with some of the new GHS elements. Â What better opportunity than to provide this information during the completion of their Online WHMIS Training.
What’s Included?
The new module serves as an introduction to the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (GHS) and provides learners with basic information about the new labeling requirements, Pictograms and Safety Data Sheets.
The duration of the module ranges between 10 – 15 minutes depending on a student’s current knowledge of the content.  Even with the addition of this new training module, the cost of our WHMIS Courses remains the same.
